Oligodendrocyte Myelin Glycoprotein; OMGP; Oligodendrocyte-Myelin Glycoprotein

OMG is a myelin-associated glycoprotein expressed by oligodendrocytes in the central nervous system. While its exact function is still being investigated, it is thought to play a role in regulating oligodendrocyte maturation, myelin stability, and axon-glial interactions. It may also be involved in the response to neural injury.
