Background
RGs (Rhamnogalacturonans) are a family of related cell wall pectic polysaccharides that contain a repeating backbone of a-D-GalpA-(1,2)-a-L-Rhap-(1). Galactomannan is part of the cell wall of the mold, Aspergillus and is released during growth. They are polysaccharies made up of mannose backbone with galactose side groups.
