This product is an antibody that was generated by immunizing rabbit against a portion of amino acid 670-720 of human MTSS1 protein. It is used only in in vitro assays.

Introduction: Metastasis suppressor 1 (MTSS1), also known as Missing in Metastasis, is a 755 amino acid protein that binds to actin and promotes cytoskeleton organization, which inhibits the metastatic ability of cancer cells. It is reported that MTSS1 plays a critical role in carcinogenesis and cancer metastasis. Accumulating evidence has demonstrated the aberrant expression of MTSS1 in multiple cancer types. MTSS1 was reported to be a tumor suppressor to suppressing cancer metastasis, and its low expression was associated with poor prognosis in various cancers: bladder, gastric, breast, pancreatic, colorectal, ovarian, and lung.
