Description
DMEM/F-12 (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium/Nutrient Mixture F-12) is a 1:1 mixture of DMEM and Ham's F-12 medium. Combining the nutritional advantages of both, it is a widely used basal medium suitable for culturing a variety of mammalian cells. DMEM is a modification of Basal Medium Eagle (BME), containing four times the concentration of amino acids and vitamins compared to BME. Ham's F-12 is based on Ham's F-10 medium, with significantly increased concentrations of choline, inositol, putrescine, and several amino acids. This product performs excellently under low-serum conditions and has been successfully used for the proliferation and maintenance of MDCK cells, glial cells, fibroblasts, human endothelial cells, and rat fibroblasts.
