This product is an antibody that was generated by immunizing rabbit against recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 100-321 of human FBL (NP_001427.2). It is used only in in vitro assays.

Introduction: Nop1p / Fibrillarin was originally identified as a nucleolar protein of bakers yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae (accession P15646). The Nop1p protein is essential for yeast viability and is localized in the nucleoli. The human homologue of Nop1p is fibrillarin (accession P22087) a component of the nucleolar small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) particle. The human fibrillarin gene is located on chromosome 19 (19q13. 1).

  • FBL Polyclonal Antibody (NHP-AB343) Data Sheet: Detailed information. datasheet
  1. Q 1: What are the main applications of the FBL Polyclonal Antibody in research?

A: The FBL Polyclonal Antibody is widely utilized in research applications involving cell biology, epigenetics, and molecular biology. It is particularly useful for studying the role of fibrillarin in the nucleolus, including its involvement in ribosome biogenesis, RNA methylation, and the regulation of gene expression. Common applications include Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), and Immunofluorescence (IF).

  2. Q 2: What is the recommended storage condition for the FBL Polyclonal Antibody to maintain its stability?

A: To ensure stability and activity, the FBL Polyclonal Antibody should be stored at -20°C or lower. For long-term storage, avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by aliquoting the antibody. Proper storage conditions are critical to preserve the antibody's integrity and functionality for experimental use.
