Smooth muscle cells (SMCs) are an important cell source to generate immortalized cells. Based on this fact, Creative Biolabs produces the immortalized small intestinal SMCs from cynomolgus monkeys according to the standard immortalization protocol of over-expressing certain virus genes. We prepare these cells from fresh tissues and culture them in a gelatin-pre-coated tissue culture flask until the third passage. Then we collect them in vials so that our customers can thaw and expand them for specific applications. These products possess great potential in various cell biology research.
