Smooth muscle cells (SMCs) are an important cell source to generate immortalized cells. Based on this fact, Creative Biolabs produces the immortalized vein SMCs from cynomolgus monkeys according to the standard immortalization protocol of over-expressing certain virus genes. These cells are isolated from fresh tissues and grow in flasks until passage 3. Then they are harvested in vials and can be expanded for more than ten passages at a split ratio of 1:2 in a suitable medium. These products possess great potential in various cell biology research.
