Separation Principle:
A combination of biotin-conjugated antibodies and anti-biotin microbeads is employed for the indirect magnetic labeling of non-CD8⁺ T cells. Thus, a high level of purity in untouched T cells can be isolated by depleting the magnetically labeled non-CD8⁺ T cells.
Background Information:
CD8 is expressed on Rhesus monkey cytotoxic T cells as well as on a subset of NK cells. The CD8 microbead kit consists of a monoclonal CD8 antibody conjugated to phycoerythrin (CD8-PE) and anti-PE microbeads.
