I would like to thank Creative Biolabs for awarding me this year's scholarship. I am grateful for the opportunity, as it will support me while I continue to pursue my dual degree DVM/PhD education at the University of Minnesota. My research focuses on investigating the novel stem cell therapy of blastocyst complementation to generate exogenic organs and cell types for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.

Because of my intersection between clinics and bench science, I hope to continue being an advocate for both animal and human health and therapies. I hope that my passion about health care and personalized medicine can provide a nuanced approach to the experiments that I develop and perform. I also hope to spread my excitement and advocacy about STEM to the students I mentor and the general public.

Thank you again for awarding me with this year's Creative Biolabs scholarship! This scholarship means so much to me, and will once again support me while I pursue my STEM education.

Thank you so much to Creative Biolabs for this opportunity and supporting my graduate education through awarding me with this year's scholarship! I am incredibly grateful that I was selected for this award. This award will support my research endeavors in investigating novel immune therapies for neuroinflammatory disorders as I work to complete my PhD at UMass Chan Medical School. In conducting research in this area, I am hoping to help pave a future for the development of therapies that can alleviate the suffering associated with these diseases.

Alongside my passions for neuroscience and immunology, I am passionate about mentoring and supporting underrepresented individuals in STEM, including women. It is my hope that I can continue to support these groups both personally and throughout my career as a scientist.

Thank you again to Creative Biolabs for this generous award! I am so thankful for your support in helping me further my education and achieve my personal and professional goals.

I am sincerely grateful to Creative Biolabs for supporting my graduate training through this year's scholarship! Thank you very much for selecting me for this award. It is a true honor to be able to utilize this award to focus on my graduate research and development as a scientist as I am currently pursuing a PhD in Cancer Biology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

I hope to pay this forward by continuing to engage in STEM related volunteering and mentoring activities to help today’s young students from underrepresented and nontraditional backgrounds learn about a future in this exciting field. I am very grateful to be chosen for this award and would like to thank Creative Biolabs’ once again for their support as I pursue my current endeavors in STEM.

Thank you Creative Biolabs for this tremendous opportunity and for supporting me in my academic endeavors. I feel incredibly honored to have been chosen for this award. This scholarship will help bring me one step closer toward reaching my academic goals and will offer financial support as I pursue my doctoral degree at the University of Michigan.

Since I was young, I have always been drawn to STEM. I remember feeling inspired when conducting simple science experiments in elementary school and being excited to present my science fair poster in middle school. The older I became, I started to take science more seriously, majoring in biology during my undergraduate career and pursuing hands-on research opportunities. After an immersive research experience in a cancer biology laboratory, I became inspired to pursue my PhD in biomedical research. Cancer is an area of research that is especially personal and important to me and, ultimately, I hope to use my passions to find scientific answers that can lessen the suffering of those inflicted with disease. Furthermore, as a first-generation college student and female in STEM, I also hope to participate in outreach initiatives that promote STEM to underserved populations.

Thank you again for this incredible opportunity and award. It is amazing that companies such as your own support the next generation of scientists.

Thank you so much to Creative Biolabs for supporting my undergraduate education in Biochemistry and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison! This award is an incredible honor, and will help me focus on my research on innate immune system interactions with cancer, wounds, and infections.

Current conventional cancer treatments are all too frequently accompanied by debilitating side effects. As immunotherapy is showing such a high degree of promise in cancer treatment, my current post-undergraduate goal is to attain an M.D.-Ph.D., with a Ph.D. in immunology. In addition to teaching biology at the university level, I would like to conduct research on cancer-immune system interactions, as well as use research knowledge to inform immunotherapeutic treatment options for cancer patients.

Thank you very much again to Creative Biolabs — this is an amazing honor and I am extremely grateful for your help as I work towards reaching these goals.

Thank you Creative Biolabs for your generosity and for supporting my passion for biology and public health! This award will support my graduate education in Chronic Disease Epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health, while also allowing me to pursue laboratory research in cellular and molecular biology. The intersection between fundamental research findings and their application and translation on a global level has been an important area of focus and passion for me over the past few years.

As a first-generation college student and woman in STEM, I have gained an appreciation for the impact that scientific findings and novel therapies have for under-represented and under-resourced communities. I hope that I can continue to explore the ways that lower-cost and more accessible therapies can be designed to improve health care quality in individuals with chronic disease on a global scale.

I hope to be a small but critical part of this larger effort and am incredibly grateful for the support of Creative Biolabs in my desire to advance the implementation and translation of research findings and medical advances to those who need them most.

I am sincerely grateful and honored to be the recipient for the Creative Biolabs Scholarship Program! Biology, or particularly anatomy and medicine, has always been so extremely fascinating to me; even during my youth, I always pictured myself wearing a white lab coat. I know undoubtedly that this scholarship will only further my interest and especially knowledge in medicine, and it will certainly ease my way to finally become a Physician Assistant.

Life-threatening diseases such as cancer and asthma have inflicted many burdens on many close members of my family, and because of this, I believe that pursuing a degree in science is perhaps the most efficient way to assist those fighting similar battles and to prevent such burdens from ever happening. Thanks to Creative Biolabs and those who constantly supported me, I am now one step further in obtaining a degree in Biology. After all, biology is the science of life, and I truly look forward to becoming among those who dedicate their lives to save lives.

I am honored to be the recipient of the Creative Biolabs Scholarship Program.  This scholarship will support my academic pursuits in the chemical and biological sciences as an undergraduate student at Duke University. My exposure to science began in my classes but flourished during my work in a cancer research lab. As I experienced the thrill of forming new ideas, the challenge of testing those new ideas and the unexpected paths discovery takes you, I felt that no other field could live up to biological research. Ultimately this scholarship award advances my goals to elucidate the remarkable complexities of cancer biology and translate progress from the lab to the clinic.

I am grateful for scientific institutions, such as Creative Biolabs, that are willing to invest in aspiring scientists to achieve their ambitions. My sincere gratitude to those at Creative Biolabs for taking the initiative to create this scholarship program and a heartfelt thank you for choosing me as your 2017 Spring Scholarship winner.  For the budding scientists of the present and future, "The important thing is to never stop questioning" -Albert Einstein.
