Q: What advantages does this purification reagent have compared to exosome extraction using ultracentrifugation?
A: During the extraction process using this reagent, the lower-speed centrifugation exerts less pressure on the exosomes, allowing them to maintain their integrity. This leads to a quicker extraction process and improved efficiency.
Q: What downstream applications are the extracted exosomes suitable for?
A: The extracted exosomes can be used in a variety of downstream experiments and analyses, including proteomics, whole transcriptome sequencing, and in vitro and in vivo functional studies of exosomes.
Q: How can the extracted exosomes be applied to downstream experiments?
A: The extracted exosome pellet can be directly processed for the next experimental step. For example, after adding an appropriate lysis buffer, the pellet can be resuspended by pipetting or using a homogenizer, followed by RNA and protein extraction procedures. If resuspension is needed, an appropriate amount of 1×PBS can be used to resuspend the centrifuged pellet.
