Background

CD3 (T-cell surface glycoprotein CD3 epsilon chain), is part of the TCR-CD3 complex. It plays an important role in adaptive immune response. The CD3 molecule is composed of four chains, CD3D, CD3E, CD3G and CD3Z, all chains have ITAMs (immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motifs). It is orthologous to human CD3. EPCAM (Epithelial cell adhesion molecule) is a membrane protein and expressed in several structures, including alimentary system, central nervous system, genitourinary system, respiratory system, and sensory organ. It plays a role in embryonic stem cells proliferation and differentiation. It is orthologous to human EPCAM. (From NCBI and UniProt)
