PRODUCT INFORMATION

Description
Osteocalcin (1-49) (human) is a vitamin K-dependent, non-collagenous bone matrix protein synthesized by osteoblasts. It undergoes post-translational γ-carboxylation, enabling high calcium affinity to regulate skeletal mineralization. This bone-specific hormone also exhibits chemotactic activity, facilitating the recruitment of osteoclast precursors and other cellular components critical for maintaining bone remodeling homeostasis. It is a key biomarker for bone formation studies.
