Overview

Wistar Rat Eye Total Protein Lysate is derived from the eye tissues of healthy Wistar rats. The freshly dissected eye tissue is homogenized in a modified lysis buffer containing seven protease inhibitors to preserve protein integrity. Containing cytoplasmic, membrane, and nuclear proteins at a concentration of 5 mg/mL, the preparation is quality-verified by SDS-PAGE and β-actin immunoblot analysis. The product remains stable for up to one year at −70 °C and is supplied ready for use.

Preparation Method

Tissues are processed in a protein lysis buffer that includes a combination of six protease inhibitors, specifically designed to reduce proteolytic degradation. Then the homogenized sample is accurately quantified.

Quality Control

The degradation, clarity and resolution of the protein bands, and protein integrity were assessed using SDS-PAGE, Coomassie blue staining, and immunoblotting.
