Creative Biolabs offers biomarker analysis and validation services for a variety of samples from in vitro and ex vivo studies. Biomarker studies encompass the detection of specific analytes of interest utilizing a variety of methods such as ELISA, WB, ELISpot, FACS, IHC, ISH, and Multiplex assays. Each biomarker study run with Creative Biolabs can be customized to meet unique specifications.

Single Biomarker Analysis

Non-Kit Biomarker Assays.

Our team is skilled at identifying the biomarker assay option(s) with the greatest bioanalytical sensitivity and specificity that can be delivered in a defined timeline in the most economical manner.

For esoteric biomarkers not provided as kits, or kits with unfavorable performance characteristics, Creative Biolabs provides assay development services by using critical reagents such as validated antibody pairs, recombinant or native materials obtained from the client, commercial vendors, and our own laboratory.

Each assay undergoes rigorous testing to ensure high precision and accuracy, while also delivering the sensitivity and specificity required to detect biological levels of analytes.

Biomarker Assay Characterization.

Validation of biomarker assays usually follows the fit-for-purpose strategy whereby the degree of assay characterization corresponds to the expected context of use for the data. A minimally qualified multiplex biomarker assay can be used in a screening format to identify those biomarkers of greatest value, which can be subsequently evaluated in greater detail. Our immunology services include the development of such strategies to suit your needs and resources.

Small Molecule Biomarker Assays.

Creative Biolabs develops and validates highly selective bioanalytical methods for the quantitation of small molecule biomarkers in different matrixes. Biomarker compounds previously analyzed using LC-MS/MS include androstenediol, arginine, cAMP, cGMP, cinnamic acid, citrulline, cortisol, glutamic acid, glycosaminoglycans, and polysaccharides. Compounds such as thiamine and thiamine diphosphate can be measured using HPLC coupled with fluorescence detection.
