3-Maleimido-propionic NHS (BMPS) Heterobifunctional Crosslinker (CAT#: OLY-1023-YS108)
Datasheet MSDSCas No.: 55750-62-4
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description
BMPS is a non-cleavable, heterobifunctional crosslinker with a very short spacer. It contains an amine-reactive N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester and a sulfhydryl-reactive maleimide group. The NHS ester reacts with primary amines (lysines) at pH 7.0-9.0. The maleimide group targets thiols (cysteines) at pH 6.5-7.5. The two are separated by a short 3-carbon (C3) propionate spacer. This linker is ideal for applications where a minimal-length, stable connection between an amine and a thiol is required, such as in hapten-carrier conjugation.
