Description
Synonyms: 5-Carboxytetramethylrhodamine N-Succinimidyl Ester / 2-[6-(Dimethylamino)-3-(dimethyliminio)-3H-xanthen-9-yl]-5-[[(2,5-dioxopyrrolidin-1-yl)oxy]carbonyl]benzoate / 5-TAMRA N-Succinimidyl Ester. This product is a bright, red-orange, amine-reactive dye. The NHS ester reacts efficiently with primary amines (lysines). TAMRA is highly photostable and its fluorescence is pH-insensitive. It is famously used for green dyes like FAM or fluorescein, which is the basis for many molecular beacons, protease activity assays, and real-time PCR probes.
