Description

Synonyms: 7-(Diethylamino)coumarin-3-carboxylic Acid N-Succinimidyl Ester / 1-[[[7-(Diethylamino)-2-oxo-2h-chromen-3-yl]carbonyl]oxy]-2,5-pyrrolidinedione / 2,5-Dioxopyrrolidin-1-yl 7-(diethylamino)-2-oxo-2H-chromene-3-carboxylate. This is an amine-reactive, blue-fluorescent label. The N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester group reacts efficiently and specifically with primary amines (e.g., lysine residues or the N-terminus of proteins) at pH 7.0-9.0. The 7-(diethylamino)coumarin core is a bright and highly photostable fluorophore. It is commonly used to label proteins, peptides, and amine-modified nucleic acids for applications in fluorescence microscopy, and flow cytometry.
