PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description
Synonyms: Umbelliferone-3-carboxylic Acid. This is the free-acid form of a classic blue-fluorescent dye. The 7-hydroxy group's protonation state is pH-dependent (pKa ~7.8), making its fluorescence emission pH-sensitive. The carboxylic acid handle can be activated (e.g., with EDC/NHS) to label primary amines. It is used as a building block for pH-sensitive probes and enzyme substrates.
