PRODUCT INFORMATION

Description
Synonyms: 2-Amino-3',6'-bis(diethylamino)spiro[isoindoline-1,9'-xanthen]-3-one. This is a chemoselective, "turn-on" fluorescent probe. In its native spirolactam form, it is colorless and non-fluorescent. The hydrazide group reacts specifically with aldehydes and ketones at acidic pH to form a highly fluorescent (red-orange) hydrazone. It is widely used to label and visualize oxidized glycoproteins (e.g., on cell surfaces) or to detect analytes like hypochlorous acid (HOCl) that can also oxidize it to its fluorescent open-ring form.
