Description
This is a heterobifunctional, hydrophilic PEGylation linker, a shorter analogue of the PEG6 version. It features a terminal carboxylic acid and an acid-labile Boc-protected amine, separated by a 4-unit PEG spacer. The carboxylic acid can be activated (e.g., with EDC/NHS) to couple with primary amines. The Boc group provides orthogonal, acid-labile protection, allowing the amine to be deprotected in a subsequent step using TFA. This linker is ideal for multi-step conjugations where a hydrophilic spacer and orthogonal (acid vs. base/neutral) reactivity are required.
