PRODUCT INFORMATION

Description
This is a monofunctional, amine-reactive PEGylation reagent with a long spacer. It features a 12-unit polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain, capped with an inert methoxy (m) group and functionalized with an N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester. The NHS ester targets primary amines. Its primary use is "PEGylation," the process of attaching a long, flexible, and hydrophilic polymer shield to a biomolecule. This is a common strategy in drug development to enhance the pharmacokinetic profile (e.g., increase half-life, stability) of therapeutic proteins or peptides.
