PRODUCT INFORMATION

Description
Synonyms:4,4-Difluoro-1-methyl-3-(4-propoxystyryl)-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene. BD140 is a high-performance fluorescent probe from the BODIPY family. As a styryl-BODIPY derivative, it not only possesses the high quantum yields and sharp emission peaks characteristic of BODIPY dyes, but its fluorescence is also highly sensitive to microenvironmental changes, such as viscosity or molecular binding events. This probe is specifically designed as a specialized reagent for serum albumin binding assays. BD140 interacts specifically with albumin, and its signal-typically via a significant fluorescence "turn-on" mechanism or spectral shift-sensitively reports on the protein's hydrophobic binding environment. This makes BD140 an ideal tool for analyzing albumin binding characteristics, content, conformational changes, and related kinetics.
