PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description
Synonyms: 4-(N,N-Dimethylaminosulfonyl)-7-[5-(succinimidyloxycarbonyl)pentylamino]-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole / DBD-C₆-NHS. This is DBD-C6-NHS, an amine-reactive fluorescent label. The N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester reacts with primary amines. The core fluorophore is DBD (a benzoxadiazole derivative), which is highly solvatochromic-its emission properties are very sensitive to the polarity of its local environment. It is attached via a C6 spacer. This reagent is used to label proteins as a reporter for conformational changes or binding events that alter the probe's local environment.
