PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description
This is a homobifunctional, amine-reactive, and hydrophilic PEGylation crosslinker. It features two N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester groups separated by a 5-unit polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer. NHS esters react efficiently with primary amines (lysines) at pH 7.0-9.0 to form stable amide bonds. Unlike hydrophobic linkers (e.g., DSS), the long, hydrophilic PEG5 spacer arm makes this linker water-soluble. This is ideal for crosslinking proteins in aqueous solution, as it helps prevent aggregation and precipitation of the conjugate.
