PRODUCT INFORMATION

Description
Synonyms: 2-[2-[2-Chloro-3-[2-[1,3-dihydro-3,3-dimethyl-1-(4-sulfobutyl)-2H-indol-2-ylidene]ethylidene]-1-cyclohexen-1-yl]ethenyl]-3,3-dimethyl-1-(4-sulfobutyl)-3H-indolium Inner Salt Sodium Salt / Sodium 4-[2-[2-[2-Chloro-3-[2-[3,3-dimethyl-1-(4-sulfonatobutyl)indol-1-ium-2-yl]ethenyl]cyclohex-2-en-1-ylidene]ethylidene]-3,3-dimethylindol-1-yl]butane-1-sulfonate. This is a water-soluble, near-infrared (NIR) heptamethine cyanine dye. NIR dyes (emission> 700 nm) are ideal for in vivo imaging, as light in this region can penetrate deep into biological tissues with minimal absorption or autofluorescence. The sulfobutyl groups ensure aqueous solubility. IR 783 is often used as a non-specific imaging agent or can be conjugated to targeting ligands (e.g., peptides, antibodies) for tumor imaging.
