Datasheet MSDSCas No.: 97744-90-6
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description
Synonyms: 3-Maleimido-4-methyl-6,7-methylenedioxycoumarin. This is a thiol-reactive, blue-fluorescent label. The maleimide group reacts specifically and covalently with sulfhydryl groups (cysteines) at pH 6.5-7.5 to form a stable thioether bond. The coumarin core is a blue-fluorescent dye. This reagent is used to label cysteine residues on proteins or peptides, allowing for their visualization or quantification.
