[4-(6-Methyl-1,2,4,5-tetrazin-3-yl)phenyl]methanamine Hydrochloride Heterobifunctional Crosslinker (CAT#: OLY-1023-YS82)
Datasheet MSDSCas No.: 1596117-29-1
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description
This heterobifunctional linker is a key reagent for bioorthogonal 'Click Chemistry.' It features two distinct reactive groups: a primary amine (as an HCl salt for solubility) and a methyl-tetrazine. The tetrazine moiety is highly reactive towards strained alkenes, such as trans-cyclooctene (TCO) or bicyclononyne (BCN), via the extremely fast and bioorthogonal Inverse-Electron-Demand Diels-Alder (IEDDA) reaction. The primary amine allows for the easy conjugation of this tetrazine "handle" to biomolecules or surfaces, typically by reacting it with an activated carboxylic acid (e.g., an NHS ester).
