PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description
This reagent is designed to covalently attach a palmitic acid (C16) albumin-binding motif to a molecule. It uses a glutamic acid scaffold. The N-terminus is acylated with palmitic acid. The gamma-carboxyl is protected as an acid-labile t-butyl (OtBu) ester. The alpha-carboxyl is activated as an amine-reactive N-hydroxysuccinimide (OSu) ester. This allows for the direct, one-step conjugation of the C16-lipid tail (which binds non-covalently to albumin) onto a primary amine of a drug or peptide, extending its in vivo half-life.
