PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description
This is a heterobifunctional, hydrophilic PEGylation linker. It features a terminal carboxylic acid and a base-labile Fmoc-protected amine, connected by a 6-unit polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain. The carboxylic acid can be activated (e.g., with EDC/NHS) to couple with primary amines. The Fmoc group provides orthogonal protection, removable under mild basic conditions (e.g., piperidine) to expose the amine for a subsequent step. It is widely used in solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) or to introduce a hydrophilic PEG spacer with a protected amine handle onto a biomolecule.
