PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description
This is a monofunctional PEGylation reagent for 'Click Chemistry.' It features a long, 12-unit polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain that is capped with an inert methoxy (m) group at one end and a terminal azide at the other. The azide group is a bioorthogonal handle for copper-catalyzed (CuAAC) or copper-free (SPAAC) click reactions with alkyne- or cyclooctyne-functionalized molecules. It is used to attach a long, hydrophilic, and inert PEG spacer, which can improve solubility, reduce aggregation, and enhance the pharmacokinetic profile of biotherapeutics.
