PRODUCT INFORMATION

Description
This is a specialized building block for peptide synthesis, designed to add an albumin-binding moiety. It features a lysine backbone where the alpha-amine is Boc-protected (acid-labile) and the epsilon-amine is acylated with myristic acid (Myr, a C14 fatty acid). This long lipid tail provides a strong, non-covalent binding affinity to serum albumin. It is incorporated into therapeutic peptides (e.g., GLP-1 analogues) via its free carboxylic acid to significantly extend their in vivo plasma half-life through albumin "piggybacking."
