PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description
This is a monofunctional, amine-reactive PEGylation reagent. It features a 4-unit polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain capped at one end with an inert methoxy (m) group and functionalized at the other with an N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester. The NHS ester reacts efficiently with primary amines (lysines) at pH 7.0-9.0. This reagent is used to attach a short, hydrophilic, and biochemically inert PEG tail to proteins, peptides, or small molecules to improve aqueous solubility, modify spacing, or reduce non-specific binding.
