PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description
This heterobifunctional reagent bridges biotinylation with 'Click Chemistry.' It contains a terminal azide for click reactions (either copper-catalyzed CuAAC with alkynes, or copper-free SPAAC with cyclooctynes). The hydrophilic 3-unit PEG spacer enhances aqueous solubility and provides flexibility. This linker is used to biotinylate molecules that are functionalized with an alkyne or cyclooctyne. It is a key tool for detecting or purifying "clicked" products in bioorthogonal labeling experiments, offering high specificity and improved solubility.
