Tetramethylrhodamine Methyl Ester Perchlorate Fluorescent Probe (CAT#: OLY-1123-LD15)
Datasheet MSDSCas No.: 115532-50-8
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description
Synonyms: N-[6-(Dimethylamino)-9-[2-(methoxycarbonyl)phenyl]-3H-xanthen-3-ylidene]-N-methylmethanaminium Perchlorate. TMRM is a cell-permeant, cationic, and lipophilic fluorescent dye. Due to its positive charge, it accumulates in cellular compartments with a negative membrane potential, most notably the mitochondria. It is a gold-standard probe used to measure the mitochondrial membrane potential (ΔΨm). A decrease in its fluorescence intensity within mitochondria is a key indicator of mitochondrial depolarization, often associated with apoptosis or cellular stress.
