In addition to interacting with Fc-γ receptors (FcγRs), antibodies and antibody-derived therapeutics can also engage with the Fc epsilon receptor (FcεR) on immune cells to modulate immune responses. At Creative Biolabs, our comprehensive technology platform and expertise in Fc function analysis enable us to offer customized solutions for characterizing the binding properties of custom antibodies to FcεRs, helping global customers optimize the efficacy and safety of their therapeutic candidates.

Introduction of Fcε Receptors

The Fc epsilon receptor (FcεR) plays a critical role in the immune response against parasitic worms. It consists of two classes: FcεRI and FcεRII. Specifically, FcεRI is a high-affinity receptor that binds to IgE, initiating allergic responses when allergens bind to receptor-bound IgE. This activation leads to the release of mediators like histamine. On the other hand, FcεRII is a low-affinity receptor primarily found in B lymphocytes. It regulates B cell growth and differentiation and prevents IgE binding to eosinophils, monocytes, and basophils.

FcεR Binding Assay at Creative Biolabs

Creative Biolabs offers a comprehensive FcεR binding assay that is critical for the evaluation of antibodies in biotherapeutic drug development. Our advanced technology platforms enable accurate measurement of antibody affinity for FcεR. We provide a range of FcεR subtypes for FcεR binding assay, such as FcεRI and FcεRII/CD23, and have the capacity to utilize biotin labeling for streamlined assay development. Additionally, we have the expertise to design and generate custom biotinylated FcεR to meet the specific needs of our global customers.

Based on our state-of-the-art technology platforms and experienced scientists, we provide a series of assays to evaluate FcεR binding capacity for humanized antibodies. Additionally, we provide a variety of FcεR binding assays for different species to investigate non-humanized antibodies or explore cross-reactions across species. Sample assays include:

Frequently Asked Question

Q1: What are the requirements for samples in FcεR binding test?

A1: We need customer to provide some basic information such as: sample subtype, molecular weight, concentration, buffer, etc. As the affinity between antibody and FcεR is not very high, the sample quantity required may be relatively large.
