Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a complex lung disease characterized by airway inflammation, airway remodeling, and emphysema. At Creative Biolabs, we offer validated models of COPD induced by cigarette smoke, including both acute and chronic models. Acute models exhibit a transient inflammatory response, while chronic models represent an adequate animal model to mimic the chronic features. Typical assessments include body weights, BALF analysis, and histology examination.
Asthma is a heterogeneous disease, usually characterized by airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR), mucus hyper-production and increased infiltration of leukocytes into the airways. We offer standard murine models of asthma induced by Ovalbumin and HDM, which are widely used models that result in the characteristic features of asthma allowing the study and assessment of novel treatments.
