Protein Information
Introduction C5b-6 is a stable complex of complement C5b and C6 firstly produced during membrane attack complex (MAC) formation. When C5b was relased from C5 by C5 convertase, it is unstable and binds a single C6 forming C5b-6 before binding to a single C7 molecule. C5b,-6 can be used to lyse cell membrane, virus or particle when adding C7, C8 and C9.
