Complement Receptor 2 (CR2/CD21) Purification Protocol

Human complement receptor type 2 (CR2), also known as CD21, is a surface-associated glycoprotein that binds various ligands, such as iC3b, C3dg, C3d, CD23 and type I cytokines. CR2 plays an essential role in the complement system. B cells express the CR2 receptor on their surface, which contributes to the function of the complement system in B cell activation and maturation. CR2 interacts with CD19 and forms a CR2-CD19-CD81 complex with CD81 on mature B cells. Commonly known as the B-cell co-receptor complex, this complex plays an integral role in enhancing B-cell responses to antigens. Founded over 10 years ago, Creative Biolabs has grown into a leading CRO in the field of complement.
