MASP-1 and MASP-2 Purification Protocol

MBL-associated serine protease, also known as MASP, has been proven to be a mixture of two proteases: MASP-1 and MASP-2. MASP-1 is a multidomain serine protease that plays important roles in blood coagulation and can enhance complement activation of the related enzyme MASP-2. Studies have shown that MASP-2 efficiently cleaves both C4 and C2, while MASP-1 is only active on C2. In addition, MASP-1 cleaves a variety of substrates including fibrinogen and factor XIII, and is active in gelatin zymography. To help customers have deep research on MASP-1 and MASP-2, Creative Biolabs has developed novel protocols for the purification of MASP-1 and MASP-2.
