Mouse H2 Genotyping Service

All products and services are For Research Use Only and CANNOT be used in the treatment or diagnosis of disease.

Supported by in-house scientists and first-in-class technical platform, Creative Biolabs is confident in providing an integrated solution for mouse H2 genotyping service, including available methods for sample preprocessing and H2 genotyping. Creative Biolabs has developed several methods for H2 genotyping from a wide of sources.

Background

The H2 complex, as the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) of the mouse, is located on chromosome 17. It contains several genes critical to the function of the immune system and plays an important role in immune response. There are two major classes of genes, I and II, involved in the immune response, which are both structurally and functionally different. Class I genes code for single-chain proteins of approximately 44 kDa and are highly polymorphic. These molecules are glycosylated and expressed on the surface of all nucleated cells in the body associated with a smaller 12-kDa protein (named β2-microglobulin). Class II genes code for proteins comprised of two types, α, and β, which are separately encoded. The class II H2 molecules present fragments of molecules (usually proteins) to the CD4+ subset of T lymphocytes.
