  • Nociceptin receptor (OPRL1) is a full-length human gpcr. G-protein coupled receptor that binds the endogenous peptide nociceptin/orphanin FQ to modulate complex processes like pain signaling, anxiety, and reward. Therapeutically, it is a significant target for developing "non-mu" analgesics and treatments for substance use disorders, as its activation can oppose the addictive effects of traditional opioids while providing pain relief with a lower risk of respiratory depression. The surrounding nanodisc copolymer is biotinylated to support direct surface immobilization without modifying the protein itself. The preparation uses 2-step purification.
