Virus-Like Particles (VLPs) Production in E. coli System

Creative Biolabs has established a global-leading virus-like particles (VLPs) manufacture platform using E. coli cell system. Our team has years of experience in VLP construction based on our well-run bacterial expression system. Highly efficient and comprehensive services have earned us great reputation from numerous clients all over the world.

Virus-like particles (VLPs) mimic the whole structure of natural viruses while lacking the viral genome so that they are completely non-infectious. VLPs have been applied in a wide range of fields including vaccines, antibody development, membrane protein expression, delivery systems, bioimaging, cell targeting, etc.

The proper selection of the expression systems plays a vital role in VLPs production. E. coli cell system is one of the most commonly applied platforms that can satisfy many research and industrial requirements, in which a variety of VLPs have been successfully assembled. However, recombinant proteins of eukaryotic hosts are often insoluble in E. coli cells system. Creative Biolabs has summed up and utilized a series of solutions to conquer this obstacle:

In addition to the above solutions, we are also very capable of making up very targeted strategies to other encountered problems. Moreover, We also provide complicated VLPs construction service with different kinds of structural proteins including IBDV, VP2, VP3 and VP4-polyproteins, the polyproteins was cotranslationally autoprocessed by protease VP4 activity, which enables the formation of immunologically active VLPs in bacterial cells.

We have also developed other efficient prokaryotic hosts such as Pseudomonas fluorescens and Lactobacillus casei. Compared with E. coli system, these two hosts can be easily manipulated and produce high yield of active and soluble VLPs in large-scale cultivation.

Creative Biolabs provides high-quality and efficient service in virus-like particles (VLPs) based on E. coli cell system. We also provide other expression systems including:

Ready-to-use VLP products are also available, such as HBV VLP, HIV VLP, HPV VLP, CA16 VLP, EV71 VLP, poliovirus VLP, polyomaviruses VLP, AAV VLP, bacteriophage Qβ VLP, Zika VLP, etc. We are very pleased to share our state-of-the-art platforms and professional knowledge with our clients. Please feel free to inquire us for further discussions.
