Magic™ Recombinant Human CXCR5 Membrane Protein in Virus-Like Particles (MP-VLPs) (CAT#: S01YF-0223-KX1)

This product is recombinant Human CXCR5 in VLPs form. This product is produced from HEK293 by co-expressing the retroviral structural core polyprotein (gag) and the target membrane protein. MP-VLPs display highly-expressed copies of membrane proteins in their native conformation, providing an alternative to membrane protein stable cell lines, membrane preparations, detergent-solubilized proteins and other membrane protein preparation strategies. MP-VLPs can be used for a wide range of applications in antibody production, antibody discovery, antibody characterization, binding assays and functional assays.

Target

  • Target Protein
  • CXCR5
  • Full Name
  • C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 5
  • Introduction
  • This gene encodes a multi-pass membrane protein that belongs to the CXC chemokine receptor family. It is expressed in mature B-cells and Burkitt's lymphoma. This cytokine receptor binds to B-lymphocyte chemoattractant (BLC), and is involved in B-cell migration into B-cell follicles of spleen and Peyer patches. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
  • Alternative Names
  • BLR1; CD185; MDR15; C-X-C chemokine receptor type 5; Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1, GTP binding protein (chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 5); Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1, GTP-binding protein; CXC-R5; CXCR-5; MDR-15; chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 5; monocyte-derived receptor 15; CXCR5; C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 5
