TNFRSF9

This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the TNF-receptor superfamily. The survival, growth, and clonal proliferation of T lymphocytes are all facilitated by this receptor. Additionally, it can increase T cell death brought on by TCR/CD3-triggered activation, stimulate Th1 cell responses by regulating CD28 co-stimulation, and cause peripheral monocytes to proliferate. The activation of lymphocytes causes this receptor to express itself. It has been demonstrated that TRAF adaptor proteins connect to this receptor and transmit the signals that cause NF-kappaB activation.
