Magic™ Recombinant Human EDNRB Membrane Protein in Virus-Like Particles (MP-VLPs) (CAT#: S01YF-0622-KX159)

This product is recombinant Human EDNRB in VLPs form. This product is produced from HEK293 by co-expressing the retroviral structural core polyprotein (gag) and the target membrane protein. MP-VLPs display highly-expressed copies of membrane proteins in their native conformation, providing an alternative to membrane protein stable cell lines, membrane preparations, detergent-solubilized proteins and other membrane protein preparation strategies. MP-VLPs can be used for a wide range of applications in antibody production, antibody discovery, antibody characterization, binding assays and functional assays.

Target

  • Target Protein
  • EDNRB
  • Full Name
  • Endothelin receptor type B
  • Introduction
  • The protein encoded by this gene is a G protein-coupled receptor which activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Its ligand, endothelin, consists of a family of three potent vasoactive peptides: ET1, ET2, and ET3. Studies suggest that the multigenic disorder, Hirschsprung disease type 2, is due to mutations in the endothelin receptor type B gene. Alternative splicing and the use of alternative promoters results in multiple transcript variants.
  • Alternative Names
  • ETB; ET-B; ETB1; ETBR; ETRB; HSCR; WS4A; ABCDS; ET-BR; HSCR2; Hirschsprung disease 2; endothelin receptor non-selective type; endothelin receptor subtype B1; EDNRB; Endothelin receptor type B
