  • Introduction
  • C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4) is a full-length human gpcr. C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 is a G-protein coupled chemokine receptor, which functions as a receptor for extracellular ubiquitin and thus leading to enhanced intracelular calcium ions and reduced cellular cAMP levels. It functions in cerebellar development but also stem cell homing as well as in cancer metastasis. Moreover, as a coreceptor of HIV, it supports together with the CD4 protein the HIV entry into cells. The surrounding nanodisc copolymer is biotinylated to support direct surface immobilization without modifying the protein itself. The preparation uses 2-step purification.
