A: A "human" sdAb is discovered directly from a human antibody library, meaning its entire sequence is of human origin. A "humanized" sdAb originates from another species (like a llama) and has been engineered to be more "human-like" by grafting its CDRs onto a human framework, thereby reducing its potential to cause an immune reaction.

Q2: What is the typical timeline for a humanized VHH discovery project?

A: While timelines can vary based on project complexity, a standard humanization and validation project typically takes between 10-14 weeks from sequence receipt to delivery of characterized candidates.

Q3: What starting material do I need to provide for a humanization project?
