An important step in biotherapeutics engineering is to characterize and group (e.g. bin) a library of monoclonal antibodies generated against a specific antigen by their epitope binding regions. Scientists from Creative Biolabs have proved that the use of the IBIS MX96 system in conjunction with the CFM (Continuous Flow Microspotter) offers enhanced productivity in antibody binning.
The IBIS MX96 & CFM combination enables high throughput epitope binning with capacity of 96 antibodies directly from less than 200 µL supernatant of each clone, minimizing sample consumption and overcoming throughput limitations and/or labeling restrictions of current methods. This “epitope binning” platform enables the maintenance of epitope diversity and provides important information to broaden intellectual property protection.
