  1. What is the typical timeline for a screening project?

    A typical project runs 6-12 weeks from panning to ranked hits, and 4-6 additional weeks for IgG reformatting and developability profiling. Affinity maturation, if required, adds 4-6 weeks.

  2. What information do I need to provide to start?

    Please share target details (sequence, format, tags), desired MoA/epitope, acceptable species cross-reactivity, available assays, counter-antigens, and any developability constraints (isotype, Fc). If cell-based, provide cell lines and expression context. To begin with, we require details about your target protein (sequence, known biology) and the desired functional outcome of the antibody (e.g., blocker, agonist). For most projects, you can either provide purified antigen, or we can express and purify it as part of the service.

  3. Which targets are supported?

    Soluble proteins, peptides, multiple transmembrane proteins (GPCRs, ion channels, transporters), complex receptors, PTM-specific epitopes, and native antigens presented on living cells or membranes.

  4. How many leads can I expect?

    Most campaigns deliver dozens of unique sequence validated binders; for function-first programs, we typically advance 5-15 prioritized, scFc/Fab/IgG formatted binders with binding and functional data.

  5. What antibody formats can you deliver?

    We can deliver sequences for scFv and Fab formats directly from the library. We also routinely reformat these hits into full-length IgG, bispecific, or other formats as a seamless downstream service to support your program's needs.

  6. Who owns the IP?

    You own the antibody sequences, data, and resultant inventions from your project. Creative Biolabs retains background IP and library construction IP.
