Anti-PTM Antibody

Post-translational modifications (PTMs) of proteins, including methylation, acetylation, phosphorylation, glycosylation and ubiquitination, play key roles in many biological processes, such as cell signaling, gene transcription regulation, protein degradation and cell-cell adhesion. Also, PTMs is associated with diseases such as cancer. Thus, identification and quantification of PTMs are critical for a fundamental understanding of cell biology and for elucidating disease mechanisms. During the past, anti-PTM antibodies have been used as the specific reagents to analyze the existence or relative amounts of the modified protein or to more quantitatively characterize cell populations bearing the modification of interest.
